About ICON IMAD
A pivotal platform for researchers worldwide to delve into the complexities of the Malay-Islamic heritage and its contemporary relevance.
The Malay World Heritage
The Malay World, also known as ‘Nusantara,’ encompasses a rich tapestry of diverse cultures, traditions, and religions that have shaped the identity of its inhabitants over centuries. Among the myriad influences, Islam stands as a dominant force, intricately woven into the fabric of Malay society, influencing every aspect of life and culture.
Recognizing the significance of studying this dynamic interplay, the International Conference on Islam in Malay World (ICON-IMAD) serves as a unifying forum, convening experts from diverse backgrounds and regions to facilitate dialogue, foster innovative solutions, and strengthen regional cooperation.
