Abstract

This study examines the eco-theological principles contained in Q.S. Al-Ḥadīd verse 25 and analyzes their relevance to the development of Advanced Sustainable Manufacturing Technology for fostering a resilient society. The research is motivated by the growing relationship between industrialization, technological advancement, economic power, and ecological degradation in modern civilization. The study explores the Qur’anic concepts of khalifah, sakhara, and isti‘mār as theological and ethical foundations for sustainable industrial development, environmental stewardship, and responsible technological innovation. This research employs qualitative library research using thematic Qur’anic interpretation (tafsīr mawdhū‘ī), semantic analysis, eco-theological approaches, and interdisciplinary integration between Qur’anic studies and manufacturing technology discourse. Primary data sources include the Qur’an, classical and contemporary tafsir literature, while secondary sources consist of scientific publications, industrial reports, economic statistics, and sustainability studies. The findings reveal that Q.S. Al-Ḥadīd verse 25 positions iron as a symbol of strength, civilization, resilience, and human benefit within the framework of divine justice. The concepts of khalifah, sakhara, and isti‘mār establish ethical principles for balancing industrial growth, environmental sustainability, and social welfare. The study also demonstrates that mastery of metal manufacturing technology contributes significantly to economic independence, technological competitiveness, and the development of resilient societies capable of facing multi-polar world, global industrial and ecological challenges. The originality of this study lies in integrating Qur’anic eco-theological principles with sustainable manufacturing technology as a new interdisciplinary framework connecting tafsir studies, industrial development, resilience, and environmental ethics
